Knowing that there is a certain amount of sensitivity and embarrassment involved on the patient’s part, it is necessary to display both empathy and understanding when suggesting treatment planning options.
Whatever deficiencies we may immediately notice when evaluating a smile, we can be assured that they will have been noted by the patient many times over.
