W artykule przedstawiono instrumentarium stosowane w różnych zabiegach chirurgicznych w jamie ustnej m.in. podczas:
- usuwania zębów zatrzymanych,
- wyłuszczania torbieli i resekcji wierzchołków korzeni zębów,
- zabiegów chirurgiczno-ortodontycznych.

Przypomniano także o zagrożeniach związanych z florą patogenną jamy ustnej i sposobach zapobiegania zakażeniom.

Preparation of instruments and operation theater in oral surgery – the role of surgical assistant

The instruments used during different surgical procedures in the oral cavity are presented in the article. It concerns instruments used during:
- impacted teeth extraction
- apicoectomy and cyst extirpation
- orthognatic surgery procedures.
Pathogenic bacterial flora of the oral cavity and also measurements to prevent infection are presented in the article.
