The purpose of this article is to consider the prevention and treatment of dental problems in disabled and chronically suffering patients. A knowledge of the limitations and specific needs of this group of patients is indispensable for all the members of the dental staff. The text describes the most common examples of diseases that the doctors, nurses and hygienists are bound to face in their clinical practice.
